Bearnard Lubhaing
Bearnard Ó Lubhaing was born in Ventry post office in 1928.
He trained as a primary school teacher in St Patrick’s Training College, Drumcondra. After years of teaching in Crumlin, he returned to his beloved Kerry to teach i Listowel. He served as
INTO secretary in north Kerry for twenty-five years and served as headmaster of the Irish College at Ventry which organised residential courses for second-level students. He died in August
2001.
