Benjamin Waugh
Rev. Benjamin Waugh (1839-1908) was a prominent figure in the advocacy for child welfare in England during the late 19th century. As the Honorary Director of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Waugh dedicated his life o exposing and combating the mistreatment and neglect suffered by children. His work as a social reformer and campaigner against child abuse laid the foundation for significant changes in child protection laws and societal attitudes towards children's rights.
