Bennett Z KobbBennett Z. Kobb is a Washington, D.C.-based technology writer and consultant. As a trade journalist, he has covered policy and regulation at the Federal Communications Commission since 1983. He founded Federal Communications TechNews (now TR Wireles) and was editor of Cellular Radio News and Personal Communications Magazine, the first periodicals for the cellular phone industry. He co-founded (with Apple Computer) and served as the first executive director of the Wireless Information Networks Forum, a trade association of telephone and computer manufacturers. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a licensed radio amateur, and a contributor to Communications World on the Voice of America.
