Betsy KemenyBetsy Kemeny is Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Certified Professional Gerontologist with 29 years of professional experience. Her work experiences have included outpatient rehabilitation, adult day, assisted living, hospice, and longterm care. Dr. Kemeny has presented more than 30 times and published seven peer-reviewed works on the topic of older adults. She is currently an assistant professor in the Recreational Therapy program at Slippery Rock University and is a fellow, distinguished in recreational therapy with the National Academy of Recreational Therapy. Dr. Kemeny received her bachelors degree in Sociology at Wake Forest University, her masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Ph.D. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Since 2014, Dr. Kemeny has served on the board of directors for the American Therapeutic Recreation Association and is currently the secretary.
