Birgit Däwes

Birgit Däwes is Assistant Professor in American Studies at the University of Würzburg. She is the author of Native North American Theater in a Global Age: Sites of Identity Construction and Transdifference (2007), and has written extensively on te works of Drew Hayden Taylor, among other playwrights. She is currently editing a volume of essays on the subject of Native American performance.
