Bob L CoxBob Cox was born and raised in Johnson City and stayed around to attend East Tennessee State University. He is a retired chemical engineer and makes his home is Columbia, South Carolina, but still frequents Johnson City on a regular basis. He also curently freelances for the Johnson City Press and writes a history column titled "Yesteryear." Last year, he authored Fiddlin Charlie Bowman--An East Tennessee Old-Time Music Pioneer and His Musical Family for the University of Tennessee Press, and is working on a sequel.
