Boris SoukharevDr. Boris Soukharev is a Russian climatologist, meteorologist, geographer, geophysicist and interdisciplinary philosopher, now living in Poland. His academic career spans universities in different countries: St.Petersburg State University in Russia, ree University Berlin in Germany, and the University of Arizona in the United States. Dr. Soukharev retired as an Associate Professor of Climatology from St. Petersburg State University. He is known for his research in atmospheric physics and climatology, and has published in leading international scientific journals such as the Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences and the Journal of Geophysical Research. In recognition of his research, he was awarded the Medal of Academia Europaea in 1998 and the Humboldt Research Fellowship in 2001. Dr. Soukharev is a member of the Russian Geographic Society, the European Geophysical Society, and the American Geophysical Union.
