Bronwen NeilBRONWEN NEIL FAHA is Professor of Ancient History in the School of Humanities at Macquarie University, Sydney, and head of the Religion section of the Australian Academy of Humanities. Her research focuses on eastern Roman cultural history from the furth to tenth centuries, with an emphasis on east-west church relations, letters, gender and hagiography. She is the author of Dreams and Divination from Byzantium to Baghdad (400–1000 CE) (2021), and co-author with Pauline Allen of Greek and Latin Letters in Late Antiquity: The Christianisation of a Literary Form (Cambridge, 2020) and Conflict and Negotiation in the Early Church (2020).
