Bruce TinsleyBruce Tinsley was born in Louisville, Kentucky. While in high school he won a cartoon contest sponsored by Louisville's Voice newspaper chain and began working as an editorial cartoonist at age 16. He graduated from Bellarmine University with a degre in political science. He studied journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia and attended graduate school at Indiana University School of Journalism with a fellowship he won from Reader's Digest.
