Bryan D HallBryan D. Hall, M.D. and Nelson H. Gullett were born and grew up in Paintsville, Kentucky. As youngsters they spent most of their free time playing golf on the Paintsville Golf Course, which their uncle, Dr. Paul B. Hall, had built on their granddaddyHall's farmland. They also played on the Paintsville High School golf team (Hall 1955-1957, Gullett 1959-1963). Hall went on to play golf for 4 years at the University of Louisville and Gullett for 4 years at Morehead State University. Doctor Hall went to the University of Louisville Medical School and the Louisville Children's Hospital. He did a fellowship in dysmorphology (birth defects) at the University of Washington-Seattle and had professorships at the University of California-San Francisco and the University of Kentucky. He retired in 2002 and moved to Mt Pleasant, South Carolina in 2014 where he became a Senior Scholar at the Greenwood Genetic Center in Greenwood, S.C.
