Carla FidalgoCarla Fidalgo, PhD in Mathematics from the University of Coimbra, is a professor at the Coimbra Polytechnic - Coimbra Institute of Engineering (ISEC), in Portugal. She was President of the Assembly of Representatives of ISEC for 13 years, a member ofthe General Council of IPC, and a member of the Advisory Board of ISEC. She has been a researcher at the Mathematics Centre of the University of Coimbra (CMUC), co-founder of the Research Group on the Didactics of Mathematics in Engineering (GIDiMatE), co-founder of the Center for the Support of Mathematics in Engineering (CeAMatE), and collaborator of the Center for Innovation and Study of Pedagogy in Higher Education (CINEP). She has been a member of scientific committees of national and international congresses and is the author of several publications both in Pure Mathematics and in Mathematics Didactics.
