Carles LlorensCarles Llorens holds an MA in Communication Science (1992) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain and a Ph Din Audiovisual Communication from the same University (2001) for his 'thesisEuropean Media Concentration and Pluralism: TheEuropean Union Action' (Spanish).He is associate professor at the Communication Faculty of the Autonomous University of Barcelona since 2003. He was the coordinator of Audiovisual Communication undergraduate degree at the same faculty (2010-2013) and Associate Dean since 2013. The main lines of his research are European and Spanish media concentration issues, Catalan Radio and European Media Policy. Member of research group GRISS since 1998 and scientific partner at INCOM since 2005. Both research centres are located at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He was an academic visitor at Oxford University, at the Center for Socio Legal-Studies from March 2006 to February 2007. He was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship from 1996 to 1998 at the CRID (Centre de Recherches Informatique et Droit). Namur University, Belgium. His research project was to study the telecommunications and broadcasting convergence. He has been a member of COST A30 action: 'East of West: Setting a New Central Eastern European Media Research Agenda' (2006-2009).He worked as a journalist from 1993 to 1996 at news agency Europa Press and at sport newspaper Marca and he worked as a producer at 'Onda Cero-Onda Rambla' FM radio.
