Carol A BarrDr. Carol A. Barr is an Associate Professor in the Sport Management Program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She received her B.S. in Athletic Administration from the University of Iowa, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Sport Management from the Univrsity of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Barr teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of College Athletics, Event Sponsorship, Event Management, and Organizational Behavior and Development. Dr. Barr's research interests and areas of specialization include management issues within collegiate athletics, and gender equity. Dr. Barr is involved in the area of gender equity within interscholastic and intercollegiate athletics. She has served as a consultant to the NCAA, the University's Athletic Department, and local school systems in Massachusetts. She is also an expert on numerous areas of collegiate athletic administration and policy development in intercollegiate athletics. Read More Read Less
