Carol Matthews
Carol Matthews has been a hospital social worker, served on the boards of a number of communities agencies, and worked as an instructor and Dean of Human Services at Malaspina University-College. She has published a collection of short stories andseveral works of non-fiction. In 2008 she was awarded an honorary doctor of letters from Vancouver Island University and in 2012 she was appointed to the Order of British Columbia. She lives in Nanaimo.
