Carol T AveryDr. Avery is a tenured professor of nursing at Western Connecticut State University in where she teaches on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her area of expertise is maternal-newborn nursing and women's health. She received her BSN from th University of Bridgeport, MSN from Hunter College of the City University of New York, and Ed.D. from Teacher's College-Columbia University. Achievements include the presidency of the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and vice Presidency of The American Assembly for Men in Nursing.
