Cate Green

Cate GreenCate Green is a cyclist, adventurer, business coach, and chronic illness advocate whose story is one of resilience, reinvention, and radical self-belief.Her journey hasn't followed a straight path-in fact, it's been full of detours, steep climbs, andunexpected challenges-but she's found purpose and passion in places she never imagined. After receiving a life-changing diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, Cate's once-active body began behaving in unpredictable ways. Navigating the grief of lost abilities, a shifting identity, and the overwhelming uncertainty of her new normal was confronting and isolating. But Cate has never been one to stay down for long. She slowly reconnected with her first love-cycling. Short neighbourhood rides became her therapy, and as her strength returned, so did her fire. She soon set a bold goal: cycling across Vietnam. It wasn't just a trip; it was a declaration that her life-and her body-still held power and possibility.Since then, Cate has become known for setting big, audacious goals. Her current mission: to ride around the entire continent of Australia. It's a monumental challenge, but she's not just doing it for herself. She's riding to raise awareness, spark conversations, and champion the rights of chronically ill and disabled people to live bold, vibrant lives.Beyond the bike, Cate is a passionate business coach working with women and non-binary people living with chronic illness or disability. She helps clients build sustainable, values-aligned businesses that honour their bodies, energy, and lived experience. Her work is grounded in radical acceptance, compassionate boundaries, and redefining success outside of hustle culture.Cate also believes deeply in the power of storytelling. She shares the real, raw truth of living with MS-not to inspire or shock, but to connect. Her advocacy lives in the messy middle: the flare-ups and finish lines, the rest days and record-breaking rides. Her openness creates community, and her honesty helps shift narratives that often ignore or oversimplify the disabled experience.Whether she's on the road, coaching clients, or posting a vulnerable update, Cate brings humour, grit, and heart. She lives with curiosity and courage, learning daily how to navigate life in a body that doesn't always cooperate-but never stops dreaming.Cate's story is a powerful reminder that diagnosis isn't the end-it's a different kind of beginning. Through her rides, coaching, and advocacy, she's carving out space for others to live full, joyful, ambitious lives on their own terms. Read More Read Less
