She teaches the history and theory of modern architecture and historic preservation at the school of architecture at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicholás de Hidalgo and has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, the University of Texas, and other institutions. She is the author of La arquitectura mexicana desde afuera: Episodios en la construcción de un imaginario and La Quinta Eréndira de Lázaro Cárdenas, as well as a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico and the Mexican chapters of Docomomo and Icomos.
