Cheriese FosterCheriese Foster, a survivor of drugs and alcohol has now made it her mission in life to give back to her community. Her passion and purpose in life is to help the addicted. She struggled with 27 years of drug abuse of crack cocaine and alcohol until he had a spiritual awakening where The God of her understanding showed up and showed out. She made a complete 180! Cheriese, a wife, mother, and grandmother, is a graduate of Stark State College majoring in Chemical Dependency, maintaining a 3.85 GPA as of December 2020. She received three certificates with one being the President's List of Spring 2019, Dean's List of Fall 2019, and lastly, a Taylor My Heart Award during the Strides Of Strength Gala 2019, accompanied by Akron councilwoman Tara Samples. Cheriese received an online diploma in 2016 at age 41. She has a favorite rescue-animal named BJ. She enjoys mentoring children, giving them hope to speak up and be their own voice, and speaking inside the rooms of AA, so hopefully her story about her own past drug addiction will one day help someone else to recover.
