CHIRANTAN SARKAR

Chirantan Sarkar is an environmental researcher whose work bridges science, creativity, and ecological activism. He is a former research scholar and PhD holder of Bose Institute, Kolkata. He furthered his research at the Indian Institute of Technoogy, Bombay and the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI).


Beyond the laboratory, Chirantan is a multidisciplinary creative spirit. He is an accomplished painter, graphic designer and storyteller who uses visual art as a medium to interpret nature and environmental consciousness. He is an independent graphic artist presently working on various graphic novels and audio-visual projects. He is also a musician, musical instrument maker and an advocate for tree rights and green spaces.
