Chloe FenwoodI grew up in a small town in Michigan, USA, the second youngest of four siblings. I started writing very early in life and I've never stopped. These days I divide my writing between my mystery books under the pen name of Camille Sharp, and now my fanasy romance books as Chloe Fenwood.Fantasy was always one of my favorite genres. It allowed me, more effectively than anything else, to pretend to be somewhere better than I was. Even as a child I would rewrite stories in my head, making a place for myself in whatever world struck my fancy. Never content to be the damsel in distress (although that was sometimes part of the role) I wanted to be a strong warrior, the force to be reckoned with who stood alongside friends and fearlessly battled evil.I think that, when you grow up with fear and helplessness, you naturally invent your own power. That's what I did, at least, and it helped me to find more than peace. I found joy and optimism because I could retreat to a place where I always felt that I mattered. To me, that's among the greatest gifts that a story can give, the feeling of being home.Not every story features a place you'd want to stay of course, but there's usually a friend or a feeling of love and kinship that you can lose yourself with. Reading can be bliss, and that bliss takes on a form that is very specific to the individual reader.Personally, I will always love fantasy because it allows me to become anything I want.
