A lifelong lover of literature, poetry, and theater, she creates warm, thoughtful tales for children and teens - the kind that sneak in lessons aout kindness, honesty, forgiveness, and compassion (without ever feeling like homework).

A creative spirit through and through, Christie finds joy in every step of the writing process - even the messy parts that involve too much coffee, too many notes, and not enough sleep. She's passionate about helping others and often weaves her caring nature and love of giving back into her stories.

An animal lover with a special adoration for dogs, Christie believes life is better with a wagging tail (and her stories often agree).

When she's not writing, Christie's busy being a working mom. Her two teenage daughters are her funniest, fiercest editors - and they make sure her characters sound like actual teens (not like adults pretending to be teens).
