Christina KramerCHrIStIna e. Kramer is a professor emerita of Slavic lan- guages and linguistics at the University of Toronto. Throughout her career, she has combined her love for languages, linguistics, and literature. She is the author of many articles on Balkan lnguistics and a Macedonian grammar. Her translations from Macedonian have been awarded prizes, including support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Pen Translates, UK, Lois Roth Honorary Mention, and long-listed for Best Translation of the Year (USA). Her translations have also appeared in nu- merous journals, including Asymptote, Brooklyn Rail, Chicago Review, Modern Literature, M-Dash, The Punch Magazine, Tin House, Two Lines, Words without Borders, World Literature Today.
