Christine AndersonChristine Andersen is a retired dyslexia specialist who hikes every day in the Connecticut woods with her five hounds, pen and pad in pocket. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in Counseling Psychology. A decade ago, she founded a fund at te University of Connecticut to enhance training in trauma for future psychologists with the hope of putting more trauma-informed professionals in the field. She has published over 100 poems, won the 2023 American Writers Review Poetry Contest, and in 2024, the Lee Mae's Memorial Award #1 in the National Poetry Day Contest of Massachusetts, and the Choeofpleirn Press Harvest Harmonies 2024 Contest.
