Christopher KochChristopher Koch was born in Tasmania. After graduating from university, he moved to London where he published his first novel, The Boys in the Island, in 1958. His highly acclaimed novel, The Years of Living Dangerously, was made into film directed by Peter Weir and starring Mel Gibson. Koch co-wrote the screenplay, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
