Christopher PexaCHRISTOPHER PEXA is Bdewáka?tu?wa? Dakota, enrolled at Spirit Lake Nation, and wasícu from Irish and German peoples. He is currently Harris K. Weston associate professor?of English at Harvard University, where his work is dedicated t Indigenous literatures, politics, and language learning and revitalization. His scholarly work has appeared in PMLA, American Literary History, MELUS, and Studies in American Indian Literatures, among others. His first book, Translated Nation: Rewriting the Dakhóta Oyáte (University of Minnesota Press, 2019) won the 2018-19 MLA Prize for Studies in Native American Literatures, Cultures, and Languages and the 2019 Labriola Center American Indian National Book Award. His second book project, Sovereign Flows: Indigenous Future-Making Beyond Borders, examines texts from the late nineteenth century to the present that assert movement or flows of Indigenous bodies, languages, and aesthetics as key means for decolonizing and Indigenous future-making.
