Clay PeacherClay Peacher was born in 1962 in the Florida panhandle where his passion for football began. It played a large role in his life and won him plenty of honors. In fact, after his senior season with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, he was signed by the Dllas Cowboys. Unfortunately, an injury thwarted his dreams of professional football. Clay, who studied engineering at Mississippi State University, accepted a job as an aerospace engineer with the Department of Defense where he worked for ten years and enjoyed traveling the world in that role. Subsequently, he spent twenty-four years with the EPA Marine Research Laboratory on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Now retired, Clay enjoys spending time with his son, Tillman, and wife, Karen. He hunts, fishes, and enjoys the beach on a regular basis. He also has a new hobby: writing fictional stories that draw from his upbringing in the south and in particular, on the Gulf Coast.
