She was elected and served on the Board of Evanston/Skokie School District 65. She is a formertrustee of the National Museum of Mexican Art and served as President of the Woman's Board of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a graduate of Evanston Township High School, which recognized her as one of its "Distinguished Alumni," and Carleton College.
