Connie NestlerConnie Nestler is a former teacher of children with special needs and a principal at Early Childhood and Elementary Schools in Schaumburg School District 54. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Education, and at the time, anendorsement in Special Education. She graduated from National Louis University with a graduate degree in Early Childhood Administration and received a Type 75 Certificate in Administration from Northern Illinois University. After leaving education, she has spent time taking art classes, making and exhibiting her paintings and writing stories. She also enjoys making pottery, gardening, spending time in nature, and playing pickleball. She published her first book in 2019, Sasha and Patches: The Life and Adventures of Two Rescued Cats with Minds of Their Own.Sasha and Patches were rescued through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Illinois (ARF) in 2011 and continue to provide inspiration for all her stories.
