Courtney RiceCourtney is from a small town in Alabama, where she began drawing on her own at a young age. She took art classes in high school and college while she earned her BFA in Dance Performance. In recent years Courtney has returned to her art, creating andselling her work locally. As a dancer, writer, and artist Courtney has always been a story teller of sorts, and she found in illustration a way to merge all three. Courtney has worked with children since she was a child herself, assisting her mother in teaching classes at her dance studio. She continues to teach dance and art to children now and is endlessly enchanted by their perspectives of life, natural humor, and purity of spirit. Courtney desires to write and illustrate children's books that will inspire their soul's to bloom fully and courageously into who they already are, and in doing so, unleashing their gifts upon this world transforming it into a better place for all.
