Crystal StevensonMy name is Crystal Stevenson an Indianola, Ms. native, I was born July 19,1985. I graduated from Gentry High School I was also a member of the Gentry High Alumni Band. I went to study, nursing, culinary arts/home economics/ business management/entrepeneurship, cosmetology, creative writing, and accounting. I had a passion to help others in need, so I decided to become a nurse, I worked in the nursing field for over 17yrs. I grew up in a single-family home and my mother did all she could to make ends meet raising my brother and I who was older. We had some very hard days considering we was living in poverty. So, to get through the rough days I would write poems and songs to ease my mind and the pain. Writing came naturally to me, it's like freedom of thought with the ability to speak and say what I was unable to say out loud.
