Crystal SwansonAuthor Crystal Swanson received her BA in English with a minor in Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She decided to delay becoming a teacher in order to start her family. Crystal and her husband have been blessed with two hansome little guys, and she is now a stay-at-home mom who loves to be actively involved in her boys' busy lives. Writing has always been one of her biggest passions, so when she's not volunteering at her son's school or helping out with cub scouts, she is always eager to find time to write. Crystal gets inspiration for her stories from her boys: their unending passion for fun and imaginative play, the gift of seeing our world through their creative eyes. Pony the Snail is no exception. In an effort to help her youngest son work through his fear of snails, Crystal encouraged her son to view the slow-moving creatures with the whimsical shells as harmless and fun to observe.
