D M JamisonD.M. Jamison was born on March 25, 1986, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, to Debbie Jamison, a single mother who worked as a janitor while going to school. Without cable TV growing up, he fell in love with sitcom reruns and Goosebumps books-sparking a lielong obsession with stories, humor, and the weird.He joined the U.S. Army in 2009 and deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan, from 2011 to 2012. While overseas, he filled notebooks with random absurd humorous stories and doodles between patrols-and sometimes made extra cash doing other soldiers' homework. His influences are Hunter S. Thompson, Chris Farley, and the one and only Mr. Puke the Cat.Using his GI Bill, D.M. earned seven degrees from American Military University, including a Master's in Criminal Justice with a focus on reintegration and rehabilitation, a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, and Associate degrees in Communications, Management, Criminal Justice, and Child Development. He maxed out the GI Bill by taking the maximum course load every semester.After the Army, D.M. worked jobs ranging from assistant manager at Domino's to legal assistant in law firms to frontline work in mental health.
