D Todd CoffinTodd Coffin was born and raised in Bath, Maine, and began running competitively at age 12. He was an All-American at Colby College and won the national steeplechase title in 1983. Following a masters in geology at Purdue University, Todd ran for NikeTeam Texas and Nike Boston, and posted his personal-best marathon of 2:19.38 at the Houston-Tenneco Marathon in 1989. Todd was as an assistant cross country coach at Bowdoin, then returned to Colby as head coach of the men's cross country and track & field teams from 2003 to 2006. He was inducted into the Maine Running Hall of Fame in 2003 and serves on its board of directors.
