Dakshina Ranjan KiskuDakshina Ranjan Kisku is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering and Ph.D. (Engg) degres all in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, India. He is an active researcher in the areas of biometrics and computer vision. From March 2006 to March 2007, he worked as a Researcher in the Computer Vision Laboratory at University of Sassari, Italy. From August 2005 to March 2006, Dr. Kisku was also involved as a Project Associate with the Biometrics and Computer Vision Group at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. Besides, he has worked as a faculty member for several years at various engineering colleges in India. Dr. Kisku has published more than 55 scientific articles in international conferences, journals and edited books. He has co-authored and edited three books on biometrics and homeland security.
