Dana Lynn BernsteinAs a conflict resolution coach, I have a unique mix of skills. With over 2000 hours coaching clients through conflict, my objective is to be a space for them to re-align with their values, identify why they get upset, and operate as their best self a they manage conflict and difficult conversations. By building a webinar series on topics such as contracts, negotiations, ethics, difficult conversations, human-ness in project management, de-escalation, resilience, and conflict, I found the common theme of human-ness underpins everything we seek to accomplish-and it starts with connecting with yourself first. My formal education is diverse. My BA is in communications and my MA is in dispute resolution. I earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coaching Federation. My certifications are a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Part-time, I run our family-owned animal hospital. Giving back is important, so I volunteer on the Girl Scout leadership team, am a court mediator, and am co-director of Chapter Programs ICF NJ. For fun, I earned my 2nd-degree black belt in MMA and have an advanced brown belt in Goju Ryu, so if I cannot solve conflict one way, I have options. My book, It's the Thought That Counts: Mastering the Art of YOU vs. you, formalizes my coaching process and provides practical and actionable ideas on how to de-escalate yourself so you can manage the external "Something Happened" as your best possible self. Part of our Girl Scout motto is to "make the world a better place" and the action is to leave something better than you found it. My hope for the book is that it gives you a roadmap when you are at a personal or professional crossroad. Read More Read Less
