Daniel R. KuritzkesDaniel R. Kuritzkes, MD, received his BS and MS degrees in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University in 1978, and his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1983. He completed his clinical and research training in internal medicine and inectious disease at Massachusetts General Hospital, and was a visiting scientist at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research before joining the faculty at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1990. Dr. Kuritzkes returned to Harvard Medical School in 2002, where he is currently Professor of Medicine and Director of AIDS Research, Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr. Kuritzkes has written widely on antiretroviral therapy and on the problem of drug resistance in HIV-1 infection. He currently serves as Principal Investigator and Chair of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group Executive Committee. Dr. Kuritzkes also is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
