Daniele Morandi BonacossiProf. dr. Daniele Morandi Bonacossi is Professor of Near Eastern Archaeology at the University of Udine. He was previously a research fellow at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Munich. He has directed and participated in many archaological excavations and surveys in various sites and regions in the Near East (Syria, Oman, Yemen and Iraq). He is currently directing the Land of Nineveh Archaeological Project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and a training project for Iraqi professionals specializing in the conservation and management of archaeological heritage.
