Daryl BarnesI have been writing short stories about birds (and other things) since 2010. I have found that expressing my stories in rhyming verse has been very satisfying. Since I became involved in the local bird club, now known as Birdlife Mackay, I have witnesed at firsthand the issues that are affecting certain bird species. My aim is to try to make a difference in some way. So being involved with survey work, monitoring programs, habitat restoration, media publicity, conducting PowerPoint presentations at schools and elsewhere, writing articles and publishing books will hopefully have some influence on the future welfare of our remaining bird species.
