He was head hunted by DC to work on a Batman one shot with Grendel writer/artist Matt Wagner, going on to work predominantly on Batan titles such as Batman: Shadow of the Bat (with Alan Grant), Detective Comics, Batman: Black and White and others. His collaboration with graphic designer extraordinaire Chip Kidd on Batman: Death by Design became a New York Times best seller (twice). Taylor's acclaimed adult only series Tongue Lash grew from his friendship with French comic Master Jean Moebius Giraud, who Taylor also worked with on an Arzak story.
