In the eighties, he attended the University of the West of England and the University of East Anglia. Thereafter he continued reading and writing as if (ecause) life depended on it. His first novel 'No.4 Pickle Street' was published in 1988 to critical acclaim. His second, 'The Cotoneaster Factor' came out in 1990 and the third, 'Go Gentle' in 1991, both very well received. Since 'Go Gentle' Dave has published two other novels, 'Miss Woo Country' in 2016 and 'Curious Things Etc.' in 2017. He is currently working on a sixth novel which he hopes to finish by the beginning of 2018. Fifteen years ago, David began a collaboration with author Louise Gethin to write scripts intended for television, radio and stage. They are currently writing a stage play - 'Three Women, a Corpse and a Porter'. Read More Read Less
