David VereyDavid Cecil Wynter Verey was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he obtained an MA degree in architecture, and became an ARIBA in 1940 He was a captain in the Royal Fusiliers, and was later seconded to SOE. He was a noted architectral historian and produced the two Pevsner volumes on Gloucestershire. He was married to the renowned gardener Rosemary Verey.
