David W. GobelDAVID W. GOBEL is professor of architectural history at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he has taught since 1996. He teaches an assortment of classes including Renaissance and Baroque Architecture; History of Urban Form; Villa and Garde; Architectural and Urban History of Savannah, and Architectural Theory and Criticism. Gobel’s research interests include architecture and urban planning in the American South and in early modern Spain, the classical tradition in architecture, and the architecture of the Protestant Reformation, and he has published articles in a variety of architectural and urban-planning journals.
