Her first flash fiction piece, Dirty Gypsy Girl, was published in Fiction Writer's Group anthology, Hallowe'en Drabbles. Dawn paid homage to her hometown by co-writing a nonfiction book of the town's history, Chauncey's Place: 1854-2014 A Pictorial History of Austin, Minnesota. Dawn resides in her hometown. She has enjoyed reading and writing since childhood.
