Dean R Lomax
Dean R. Lomax is a paleontologist, consultant, and journalist. He is currently a visiting scientist at the University of Manchester, where he obtained an MPhil in 2015 (without an undergraduate degree) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. He has receved several awards for his contributions to palaeontology and science communication, including a Gold Medal (G. J. Mendel Award), awarded at the House of Commons, and the Edward Forbes Prize from the Palaeontographical Society, for outstanding contributions by an early career researcher. Dean is the author of multiple research papers and two books: 'Fossils of the Whitby Coast: A Photographic Guide' (Siri Scientific Press, 2011), and 'Dinosaurs of the British Isles' (Siri Scientific Press, 2014). He has made multiple media appearances, including being the series adviser and co-presenter of a TV series (Dinosaur Britain), appearing as an expert onseveral TV programs, including the international CNN Wild Discoveries, and on countless BBC Radio stations, including BBC Radio 4.
