Dennis LucasDennis Lucas received a B.A. in English from Brooklyn College in 1991. He began writing poetry and prose while in high school. He has had four chapbooks published since then: Short Stories Some Shorter Than Others (Gull Books, 1987) Haiku For Harry (ull Books, 1989) Rodeo Harpsichord (Outloud Books,1991) and THIRTEEN WAYS OF LOOKING AT A CROW (Left Hand Books, 1992). Left Hand Books published his first full-length book, Poetic License, in 1996. His first novel, CLIFFHANGER NOTES (Left Hand Books), appeared in 2001. Since 1986, Mr. Lucas has been giving readings from his work at colleges, libraries and landfills.
