Dipanwita DuttaDr. Dipanwita Dutta is Assistant Professor in the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Vidyasagar University (India). She completed her M. Sc. in Geography from the University of Calcutta and obtained her second M. Sc. degree in Remote Sensing and GS under a joint collaboration program of Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente (The Netherlands), and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun (India). She was Senior Research Fellow at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa and received her Ph. D. degree from the Jamia Millia Islamia in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Her broad area of research includes vegetation dynamics, agricultural drought, dryland issues, crop monitoring, land-use dynamics, urban green space. Dr. Dutta has published in reputed international journals. She has also edited one book published by CRC Press/ Taylor and Francis and published 12 chapters in national and international books.
