Douglas E. Oakman
Douglas E. Oakman (PhD Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley) is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, Washington), where he served as chair of the Religion Department (1996-2003) and then Deanof Humanities in the School of Arts and Sciences (2004-2010). He is the author of Jesus and the Economics of His Day (Mellen, 1986), Jesus and the Peasants (Cascade, 2008), The Political Aims of Jesus (Fortress 2012), and The Radical Jesus (Cascade, 2021).
