Dr. Adriano Aymonino

Adriano Aymonino is Lecturer and Co-ordinator of Undergraduate Programmes in the Department of Art History at the University of Buckingham. He obtained his PhD at the University of Venice with a dissertation on the patronage and collecting of the st Duke and Duchess of Northumberland in eighteenth-century England, which will be published by Yale University Press. His main interest is the reception of the classical tradition in the Early Modern period, with a particular focus on eighteenth-century Britain. He recently organised an exhibition on the Topham Collectin at Eton and is currently preparing with Eloisa Dodero a revised edition of Francis Haskell and Nicholas Penny's Taste and the Antique.
