Dwaipayan Bhattacharya

Dwaipayan Bhattacharyya is Fellow at the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta. He did his doctoral research on the agrarian politics of the Left at the University of Cambridge, UK, and taught at the Centre for Political Studies, awaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, for close to a decade. His main interests are related to democracy, decentralization, civic community and political mobilization in recent times.
