After becoming the youngest ever anchor on regional television, he moved to the UK to present GMTV and for twelve years pulled in daily viewing figures of 6 million. However, in February 2005 he announced his decisin to leave the show. He currently presents a number of prime time shows for BBC 1, has his own radio programme on 5 LIVE and will launch SKY NEWS BREAKFAST in Autumn 2005.
